How do I obtain the share link for my VoiceThread?

Using a share link is the quickest way to direct people to your VoiceThread and allow them to participate.  There are several places that you can get the share link for a VoiceThread.

From the final share slide

The final share slide is the last slide in any VoiceThread.  If you can view the final share slide, you can get the share link for that VoiceThread by clicking the button that says Copy link and share.

This copies the link to your clipboard so you can paste it wherever you'd like.*

From the sharing area

If you own the VoiceThread or have editing rights for it, you can obtain the share link from the sharing window.

  1. Go to your MyVoice page.
  2. Click on the gear menu icon in the bottom-right corner of the VoiceThread thumbnail.
  3. Select Share.
  4. Click the button that says Get a link.
  5. Click Copy the link.

This copies the link to your clipboard so you can paste it wherever you'd like.*

From the Create page

If you own the VoiceThread or have editing rights for it, you can obtain the share link from the Create page.

  1. Go to your MyVoice page.
  2. Click on the gear menu icon in the bottom-right corner of the VoiceThread thumbnail.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Click 3. Share on the left.
  5. Click the button that says Get a link.
  6. Click Copy the link.

This copies the link to your clipboard so you can paste it wherever you'd like.*

Please note: Sharing permissions apply when others access your VoiceThread using a share link.  If you want anyone who has the link to be able to view the VoiceThread, you'll need to set your Publishing Options to allow it.

* Tip: To paste the share link after you've copied it, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the page on which you'd like to paste the link.
  2. Select Edit from your computer's menu bar at the top of the screen.
  3. Select Paste.
